The proper way to make hemp milk
Hemp North
Ingredients:
200g (1 cup) of Whole Hemp Seed
1 litre (4 cups) of Water
—
Cheesecloth or strainer
Method:
This is my prefered way to make hemp milk as it’s a bit cheaper and has more flavour from the shells.
Some people let the hemp seed soak overnight in the water.
I just blitz them together and then let it sit in the fridge for 10 minutes, before another blitz.
Unlike the hemp heart method, with whole seeds you will need to strain through a cheesecloth to get all the bits of shell out (unless you want the extra fibre and protein of course).
I find it best the let it rest so that all the heavy bits sink to the bottom, that way if you gently pour when you strain it goes through easier.
You can then store this in a lidded container in the fridge to pop on your cereals all week.

You can add honey for added sweetness if required.
